The issue of human mobility and migration trafficking in the artisanal mining sector in the provinces of South and North Kivu is a crucial issue, as it has consequences for life as well as for future generations.This study focused on two main facets: surveys in and around the mining sites including socio-demographic information of the respondents, information on the migration movements of the population, but also studies related to economic conditions, employment and market opportunities, but also information related to access to health care, and finally, studies related to the social dynamics and sexual practices in these sites.The present research also focused on the elements collected following the administration of interview guides conducted with government institutions and other representative technical services.The aim of this study remains the development of a pilot system for a better management of migration flows and natural resources in Eastern DRC.
